Barbara Smith Obituary

Barbara Jean Smith

Barbara Jean Smith was called home early March 27, 2012. Barb was born in Chelan, WA, on February 23, 1938 to David and Gladys Ray.
She is survived by her husband, Carl; and her loving children, sons, Duane (Vicki) and Barry (Pam) Smith; daughter, Brenda (Jack) Berryman; and five grandchildren.
Barb was a loving wife and mother who dedicated her life to her family. She supported all their activities, hobbies, education and lives with endless love.
Barb is survived by her siblings, Lu Vaccaro, Mac (Carole) Ray and Marty (Bill) King.
Barb was raised in Clearview, WA and graduated from Snohomish High School. The journey for Barb and Carl began 53 years ago in the living room of Carl's parents. Barb and Carl first lived in Des Monies WA, moved to Lynnwood, WA, and ultimately retired on Camano Island, WA. She enjoyed playing golf, camping, motor-homing, computer games, gardening, traveling and taking pictures. Her favorite pictures were of the endless beautiful sunsets viewed from her living room overlooking Utsalady Bay in Puget Sound. She also enjoyed spending time with her Red Hat group and playing cards. Barb especially loved her dog and constant companion, Angel.
A Celebration of Life for Barb will be held on Thursday, April, 12, 2012 at Marysville Masonic Center, 5th & Columbia Street, Marysville, WA, beginning at 11:00 a.m.
Remembrances may be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Children.

Dear Carl and Family: Our love, thoughts and prayers are with you in the loss of wife, mother, and grandmother. We have many happy memories of you and Barb on Camano Island as good neighbors and friends. We enjoyed sharing produce and crab with you. It was a joy watching our and your grandchildren play so well together during vacations and summer in our adjoining yards. Barb will be missed by all who knew and loved her. May God bless her memory!
