Bryce Davidson Obituary

1955 - 2016 Bryce Davidson, 60, passed away January 21, 2016, of a cardiac arrest at Providence Regional Medical Center. Bryce was a life-long resident of Everett, Wash., having attended Madison Elementary School, Evergreen Junior High and graduating from Cascade High School in 1973. He was best known as a prolific local musician, playing professionally in rock bands since his high school days. After high school, Bryce toured the Western U.S., playing in bands that included Refugee and Ovation, among others. Following this, he attended barber college and operated his own salon, Public Hair, in Everett. He was also a barber college instructor and worked as a sales representative for the salon hair products firm Redken. Bryce worked briefly for Boeing and the City of Everett, where many may remember his imper-sonations of one of his musical idols, Elvis Presley. Until his passing, Bryce ran the longest-running karaoke show in Everett at Patty's Eggnest (aka The Chuckwagon) on Evergreen Way, where he sang and provided a platform for others to sing for more than 25 years. Although, like many musicians of his generation, his life changed in 1964 after seeing the Beatles debut on the Ed Sullivan Show, inspiring him to begin a career in popular music. However, the musical style closest to his heart were the old school crooners such as Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Tony Bennett, for whom he had the honor of opening at a performance in Everett. Those close to him will remember his unflinching dedication to his family and friends, and his penchant for quietly helping those close to him that were in need. He was a friend to all who knew him. Bryce was preceded in death by his mother and father, Hilda and Harry Davidson, and is survived by his brothers, Brad (Janie) Davidson, Tyler (Patti) Davidson; and niece, Katie (Jason) Frank. A celebration of his live will be held on February 27, 2016, 1-4 p.m. at Lion's Hall in Forest Park, Everett.

Bryce, the Chuckwagon will never be the same now that you are gone. You were always so much fun to be around and the talent you had was astonishing. You were taken much too soon. I know you are up in heaven watching over all of us and jamming with Elvis, Bowie, Sinatra and the rest of the great singers that also left this world too soon. My thoughts and prayers are with your family at this sad time. RIP Bryce, you have no idea how much you are loved and missed.

Brad, So sorry, I am, to hear of the passing of your talented brother, Bryce. I enjoyed singing at the Chuckwagon. He was a good host, a good singer, complimentary to the singers in his shows, and honest (he saved my book of CDGs for me once, when I accidentally left them, there, one night). May the LORD minister to you and to your brother, according to the need of your hearts and according to His deep love for you both. Again, I'm so sorry.

Our condolences to the family and relatives of Bryce. I met Bryce when he worked for the city of Everett, and later the wife and I enjoyed his singing talent as a musician at the Chuckwagon. He was a very nice individual. Duane /Sherri Sanford

My condolences to Brad and Tyler on your loss. Just like so many others who have signed this page, I have good memories of Bryce. I spent some great childhood days with Brad and Bryce on 72nd Street, endlessly riding our bikes all over the neighborhood - until the day Bryce started riding a unicycle! Yes he was talented even in grade school. My thoughts are with Bryce's entire family at this sad time.

Bryce you were one of a kind talent, man, friend and entertainer. It will not be the same dancing & singing @ the CW without you. You always saw Adrion & I walk in and immediately sang Sha-Bang. It was fun how that became our song. It was unbelievable how you could sing any song perfectly. Of course, we all knew your favorites as you made us feel every word with you. Your voice was amazing and is singing with the angels now. Our deepest condolences to your family. You are deeply missed. Thank you for your friendship and sharing your talent. Rest in peace. I first met Bryce when he was singing with American Thunder many years ago. I was very impressed with his showmanship and talent. Periodically through the years I would see him singing karaoke, and then hosting in various venues. I loved it when he sang some of the songs by Frank Sinatra and especially Dean Martin. Bryce was a caring and efficient KJ, and he will be missed in the community. RIP, Bryce.
