Chet Cusic

1941 - 2026

Chester W. Cusic, "Chet", 84, of Stanwood, WA drifted up to his Lord and Savior quickly and peacefully on Thursday morning, January 15, 2026. He was born on May 21, 1941, in Jewell County, Kansas, the younger son of Hugh and Agnes Cusic. Chet spent most of his early life working the family farm and studying hard, resulting in a rewarding 43-year career at Boeing and a beautiful oasis in his backyard. Chet married his sweetheart, Elaine K Waun, in Snover, Michigan in 1968. Living in Seattle, they raised two daughters, Kara and Krista, and moved to Arlington, WA in 1982, where they put down roots and built a home and small farm in the foothills, in view of Three Fingers. Chet loved God, his family and cats, puzzles, the Seahawks, serving locally and internationally, the outdoors, and to create and build with his hands. He lived and loved to help anyone within reach.

Chet is preceded in passing by his parents and his brother, Fred Cusic, and he is very much loved still by his surviving family - his wife and daughters, three granddaughters - Brianna, Danielle and Samantha, as well as four great granddaughters and finally one great grandson!
