Clyde Miner Obituary

Clyde A. Miner was born on February 26, 1935 in Warm Beach, Washington to Jerry and Lola Miner and passed away peacefully on November 1, 2021. Clyde spent his childhood years enjoying all that the beach life offered living on Puget Sound as well as spending time at nearby Stanwood where he graduated from Twin City High School. Upon graduating in 1954 he worked at Twin City Foods and then joined the Army where he was stationed at Fort Sill, Oklahoma and Fort Ord, California. After his discharge from the Army he attended Everett Business College and met his first wife, Catherine Kiefer. Clyde and Catherine were married in August 1962. Clyde and Catherine had two sons: Gregory born in 1966 and Paul born in 1971. Clyde enjoyed spending time with the family on the non-working farm driving the Farmall tractor and keeping up on various projects. Clyde went to work for a local finance company and joined the local Army Reserve Unit where he eventually went to work as a civilian employee. Clyde was committed to serving his country both as a Federal Civilian Employee and a 37 year Army Reservist. During his career he achieved the rank of Chief Warrant Officer Four. He was presented with many awards that he was incredibly proud of. Clyde started the second chapter of his life when he married Margaret Rozell on Valentine's Day 1987. Over the years, Margaret and Clyde spent time with their blended family. Upon his retirement in 1995 Clyde and Margaret split time living between their homes in Everett and Whidbey Island. They enjoyed traveling while taking trips to the Southwest and Southern United States as well as Europe. Clyde was active in his church, the WSU Beach Watchers and Lions Club International. He was always there to lend a hand where needed with the kids or to just have a lengthy conversation on the phone. Clyde's dry sense of humor, many stories, friendly demeanor and genuine love of life will be greatly missed by family and friends. Clyde was a Faithful Servant of Jesus Christ and has rejoined his Lord. Clyde was preceded in death by his wife Margaret, his brother Jim and his sister Virginia. He is survived by his brother Jerry (Marilyn), his sons Gregory (Diane) Miner, Paul (Aimee) Miner, stepchildren Jeff (Rosa) Rozell, Calvin (Julie) Rozell, Teresa (Jay) Thompson and grandchildren Carlin, Andrew, Allison, Vincent, Brandon, Amelia and Natalie. Clyde's Re-Scheduled Celebration of Life will take place at 1:00 pm on April 9, 2022 at Mountain View Community Church in Snohomish. Remembrances can be made in memory of Clyde Miner to Mountain View Community Church. February 26, 1935 - November 1, 2021

Clyde was SUCH a great guy... a part of my childhood for as long as I can remember... always kind to we kids and a great guy to have a chat with. I always felt he was a part of our extended family. I know he's with Jesus now... that is our comfort... So sorry for your loss, kids.
