David Hagaman Obituary

David S. Hagaman, 86 passed away in an accident at his home doing what he loved, working outside. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Jack, Ed, Floyd; and his sister, Marge. He was born in St. Paul, Minn. When his brother, Ed, was employed by Boeing, the family moved to Seattle, Wash. He graduated from Lincoln High School in Seattle. Dave worked at Boeing for 38 years and was a parachute rigger in the Navy. He leaves behind Iva Jean, his loving wife of 46 years; daughters, Janet, Melanie, Kim and step-daughter, Donna; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren and another one due in October; and nieces and nephews. He had numerous interests: traveling, fishing, hunting, skiing, boating, scuba diving and golfing. Dave could fix anything. He liked traveling in the motor home and spending the winter snowbirding in Calif. and Ariz. He was regularly seen walking his little dog, Buddy, and taking time to socialize with the neighbors. He had a friendly wave and smile for everyone, even though he may not have known them by name. He loved his family, friends and neighbors and was a cornerstone for the family. It is with fond memories we say goodbye. The Memorial Service will be held on July 25, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at Mountain View Presbyterian Church, 5115 100th St. NE, Marysville, WA 98270. Family and friends are encouraged to attend and celebrate Dave's life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in honor of David Hagaman to The Marysville Fire District, 1094 Cedar Ave., Marysville, WA 98270.

Hi Dave in Heaven
Hi family who reads this ♥
I think of you and IvyJean and Buddy as if you are still our neighbors.
I miss the chats when you'd walk Buddy and your smile.
I will always remember showing you the blue mussel shells I had just found at the LaConner 1000 trails beach and you telling me stories of your camping trips with the kids
I miss having neighbors like you.
We live in Anacortes still but got s place in Marysville on Lk Loma recently. So feel close to my old hood!
Zoey is still happy at age 10, me and Brad still work in water quality.

You are missed. ♥

My dear sweet Grandpa Dave! I'm so thankful for all the wonderful memories I have of you from both my childhood and my adult years. You were such a wonderful grandpa... loving, witty, goofy and sweet. You've worked on my old cars, rescued me when I was broken down on the side of the road in a rush hour rain storm, made me laugh so many times, taken me on adventures, taught me so many things, and have been so incredibly generous. One of my greatest joys in life has been watching you with your great-granddaughters. They love and adore you just as I do! You'll always be my "freezer-burned ice cream" grandpa! I love you so!

One of our vivid memories that still makes us smile. was playing ringo with Dave and Iva Jean while everyone else was playing bingo on a cruise in the Caribbean. We miss the coffee and conversation at Priest Point after our morning walks.

Dearest Dad,
I know I'm not a "guest" but your daughter, and I wanted people to know how grateful I am that you were my father. I will never forget the things that you taught me. I'm so happy we spent a wonderful fathers day together. I remember hugging you extra hard that day. I will carry you in my heart forever. I miss you and love you.

David, David. We are going to miss you for a long time. MY SKIP-Bo partner and our years of RV'ing together. Memories that remind us of how much you influenced us in our learning to be RVers. Shirley and I are shocked. You were always the one who knew exactly what to do and at the right time. I hope you and Earl will be looking over us. Between the two of you Heaven will not have any breakdowns that cannot be fixed. Vaya con dios pardner. We love you.

Oh Dave, WE miss you so much neighbor!!
You and Buddy walking by, waving, checking in, asking where we were, what we were up to, you made us feel so important and you brought our neighborhood together as a neighborhood should be.
Without a doubt, there is a huge void on our street and in our hearts, as I look for you and Buddy to walk by still.
Iva Jean and Buddy, you will have big shoes to fill now on your walks :) Leave lots of time for chit chatting!!!
It was such an honor to have Dave as our neighbor,
In Loving Memory,
Sheila, Brad and Zoey (woof) and Syd (meow) Zahnow

Dave was a very good neighbor to my mother, Amy Cox, and always friendly when I visited. Will miss his welcoming smile and chat. May God bless his family and my deepest condolences in behalf of myself and mother.
