Dominic D'Angelo Obituary

September 18, 2017 Dominic D'Angelo peacefully passed away on September 18, 2017 in Edmonds, WA at 95 years of age, much to his surprise! He was born in Raven Run, PA to an immigrant coal mining family, with seven older siblings. He earned his BA after years of night classes at the University of Washington, from which time he considered himself a lifelong Husky. He was a veteran of the US Navy, having served as an Electronics Technician, becoming an honored member of the American Legion. He had a successful career in the avionics electronics field, beginning with The Boeing Company in 1946. In 1957, he was one of the founders of Electro Development Corporation in Seattle, which later became Eldec in Lynnwood, WA, and retired in 1994 as Vice President of Operations. Dominic was proud of his Italian heritage and his extensive family. He enjoyed playing golf, skiing, dancing, his daily exercise, basking in the sun, and the sunsets from his home. Most of all, he enjoyed celebrating holidays with his family around him. He was fun-loving with a good sense of humor, crafty in family card games, and quick to grasp facts. He never lost interest in the world and people around him. He is survived by his cherished wife, Marjie; sons and daughters, Dominic, Jr., Robert, Terri and Colleen, and their spouses; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and one great, great-grandchild. He is also remembered by longtime friends and neighbors. A memorial service with Military Honors and Color Guard was held on September 28, 2017. Our family Patriarch will truly be missed everyday… God bless you, DAD….a Salut!
