Donna Miles Obituary

Donna Morenne (Kantzer) Miles died Sunday, January 3rd, 2021 in Everett, WA. Donna was born in Arkansas City, Kansas to Bula and Maurice Kantzer on May 16, 1931. At the age of ten, Donna's family moved to Washington, settling on Beacon Hill in Seattle where Donna later graduated from Cleveland High School in 1949.
Donna married Robert (Bob) Miles on June 20, 1952 at the Pier 91 Navy Chapel in Seattle, WA. They lived in Alderwood Manor for thirty years before moving to Marysville, WA.
Donna worked in banking prior to having children and later spent a few years working for Boeing. She found joy working with children and spent twenty years as an Educational Assistant for the Edmonds School District.
Donna was a member of the Order of Eastern Star for sixty-five-years and active in three chapters: Alderwood, Floral, and Stanwood. Donna was also a member of Marcus Whitman Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution for twenty-seven-years. She enjoyed serving in these organizations and the many friendships made.
Donna is survived by her children: Randal (Glenda) Miles, Denise Miles-Foges (John), and Darral (Diane) Miles; sister-n-law Arden (Dick) King; grandchildren: Jason Miles, Joshua (Corrin) Miles, Randi Miles-Gibson (Joshua), Amanda (Bradley) Hanratty, Zachary Miles, Zachary Wenzel, Riley (Colton) Rihanek, Olivia (Josh) Nicholas, Lela Foges, and "adopted grandchildren" Kaylee and Emma; nine great grandchildren: Jordan, Luna, Eve, Hailey, Kinzley, Cylus, Quentin, Mya, and (coming soon) Clementyne, also many nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her parents, husband Bob, sister Ruth Gatto, daughter-n-law Susan Miles and great granddaughter, Harper Miles.
A socially distant memorial service will be held at the Everett Scottish Rite Center (2431 Rucker Ave, Everett) on Saturday, May 15 at 1:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Donna's honor to the Masonic Family Park or Dream Camp in Granite Falls, WA.
