Ella Heiland Obituary

Ella O. Heiland

Ella O. Heiland, born on May 28, 1919 in Havillah WA, went home to her Lord on February 22, 2003. She passed from this life in peace in her beloved North Seattle home.
While serving her community as a registered nurse during the war, Ella met and married her devoted husband Leland, who preceded her in death. After the war, she gave up her career to raise four wonderful children with Lee. Ella was a quiet lady and found joy in this life in things simple and pure - her dearly loved children, her beloved grandchildren, knitting, flowers and many adored pets. Her family and friends loved her very much in return. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by daughter Karen Lunn and husband George; son Roger and wife Karen; daughter Cindy Roth and husband Michael; daughter Heidi Bendokas and husband Tim; grandchildren Lisa, Christopher, Andrew, Kristina; and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2003 at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 12509 27th Ave NE, Seattle, WA 98125, with a reception following.
Memorials are suggested to The Lutheran Hour.
