Elma Barton Obituary

Elma Barton was born in 1912 to Jim and Louise Huntley. She passed away on September 8, 2015 at the age of 103. She married Ernest McGuire in 1930. They were married for 20 years and had nine children, Edna, Irene, Ernie, Erwin, Larry, Sharon, Dennis, Beverly and David. Three of them preceded her in death (Sharon, Beverly and Ernie). They separated in 1951. In 1958 she married Paul Barton. When they retired they became snow birds and spent the winters in California. They were very active in church, golfing, bowling, dancing and playing cards. She had 18 grandchild, 28 great grandkids and 14 great great-grandkids. She spent the last four years at Mary's Adult Homecare - where she was treated with love and care. A Service for her will be on October 4, 2015 at Forest Park (Floral Hall) at 12 Noon.

IF ROSES GROW IN HEAVEN

If roses grow in Heaven Lord
please pick a bunch for me.
Place them in "grandma's" arms
and tell her they are from me.
Tell her I love her and miss her,
and when she turns to smile,
place a kiss upon her cheek,
and hold her for a while.
Because remembering her is easy,
I do it every day.
But there is an ache within my heart
that will never go away.
