Eugene Richardson Obituary
Gene was born in Minnesota on August 16, 1941, and in 1951, relocated to Anchorage, Alaska with his parents and siblings. After graduating from Anchorage High School in 1959, he attended the University of Washington, earning a degree in Pharmacology in 1964 and a Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1970, graduating first in his class. Gene was a member of the Phi Kappa Sigma fraternity while at the UW.
He was a charter member of and very active in the Lake Stevens Kiwanis Club for more than 30 years. Gene practiced dentistry in Lake Stevens for 33 years and happily walked away from it when he turned it over to his daughter, Tracy, in 2003. His favorite pastimes were bird hunting, fishing, golf and spending time with family and friends.

Gene and I went through 4 years of dental school together, sitting next to each other in lab for the first two years. We became close friends and our families went on vacation together, played sports together and were in study clubs and society meetings. Words can't explain our love and respect we had for him and his family.

As a Periodontist and a friend, I was associated with Gene for 25-30 years. He was an outstanding dentist and wanted the best care for his patients. Since we both retired at about the same time, I have often thought of him. So sorry to hear of his passing and his chronic disease. He was a great guy. I would like to be included if he has a celebration of life.

My deepest condolences to Leah, Dr. DeLorm and extended family. I had the pleasure of working for Dr. Richardson in his Lk. Stevens office as a dental assistant back in 1998-2001. He was a very kind and generous man. He will be greatly missed. Bonnie Drake
