Frederick Warner Obituary

Frederick Charles Warner

Frederick Charles Warner passed away suddenly on December 27, 2009. His warm heart and gentle spirit will be missed greatly by those fortunate enough to have known and loved him.
Fred was born on August 29, 1930 to Gustave and Florence Miller Warner and was the youngest of eight children. Everyone called him Freddie and later Fred. He was a loving, kind and generous person from the start. He was raised in Edmonds, Washington.
A faithful and reliable person, Fred received a certificate for perfect attendance in Jr. High, which was an early sign of his devoted work ethics. He set a record in hurtles and high jump in high school. Fred graduated with the Class of '49 at Edmonds High School. He then met and married the love of his life, Joan M. Kunkel, and settled down in Lynnwood, Washington. He was the kindest, most loving person I've ever met.
Fred drove a garbage truck for 39 years for Sound Disposal of Edmonds and then later, Apex of Lynnwood. He always loved animals and after retirement, helped out at a kennel during the last few years with our daughter. Fred enjoyed fishing, golfing, camping, and going on trips with our kids, including special trips with our son. He loved our home and working outside, tending to his garden and plants. He was an active Grandpa, showing support and love with each of the kids. Our family is the greatest. Everyone who met Fred gained a little of his warmth and kindness. His selfless devotion to our family and friends made him so very special.
He was preceded in death by our son, Freddie; his mother-in-law, CeCe; his mother and father; step-father; and seven siblings.
He is survived by his wife, Joan; brother-in-law, Lonnie; and beloved children, Sue McConville (Mike), Pam Earls (Mike), Julie Alaniz, Ed Warner (Shana), and Shannon Peters (Paul); grandchildren, Roger Rounds (Stacy), Dawn Taylor (Mike), Jennifer, Michael, and Lisa McConville, Jannette Ramirez (Marlon), Trevor and Mike Earls, Ryland Alaniz, Maija Barrins (Colm), Jade and Ethan Warner, and Ryan and Spencer Peters; and great-grandchildren, Madison and Mason Rounds, Rachael and Travis Fisher, Kahle, Michael and Tanner Taylor, Cheyenne Earls, and Jaidyn Ramirez.
Thank you to all our dear friends for your support. We love you.
Graveside services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, January 18, 2010 at Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills Cemetery, 409 Filbert Road, Lynnwood, WA 98036. A reception, celebrating Fred's life, will follow shortly after the graveside service from 2 p.m. – 6 p.m. at Floral Hall located inside Forest Park in Everett, 802 E. Mukilteo Blvd., Everett, WA 98203.
In honor of Fred, memorials may be made to the Hope Heart Institute, 1380 112th Ave NE, Ste 200, Bellevue, WA 98004-9788.

February 8, 2010

Today is the last day to sign your guest book. I wanted the world to know how good you were in all aspects of your life. In the hospital, Mom found Freddie's obituary in your wallet. You carried it for 42 years and moved it to every new wallet you received over the years. Loosing Freddie was hard on all that knew him, but most of all you and Mom.
Know one could have asked for a better friend, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. You always found time to spend with your children. You gave up your Indian Motor Cycle for your family. Later in years you learned to paint and your artwork is hanging on many of our walls today. You built so many things with your hands and your heart.
It is still hard to believe you are gone. You will be greatly missed and remembered by all you thouched during your life. With Love Always

My Grandpa was very kind and sweet to all the granddaughters and grandsons. We used to go to the beach and skip rocks together. I really miss my Grandpa very much. I miss him reading books to us. We used to go to the park together and he swung us high on the swings and it was fun. He was the best Grandpa there ever was in the entire world. I love you, Grandpa!

We will miss going to the batting cages, miss going bowling with you, miss carving pumpkins at Halloween and eggs at Easter. You were so involved in our lives. We love and miss you! It is really hard to express our sorrow with words, but the fond memories that you hold dear of him will give you lasting comfort, and peace within. I myself only had the pleasure of knowing him for a short time, but in that time shared alot of joy, and fun. I love you Mike and Pam, and will always be here for you and your family...
