Capt. Harry W. Warren

Harry passed away peacefully in his sleep the morning of October 7, 2010. He was born August 27, 1929 in Seattle, WA to Bill and Nellie Warren. Harry graduated from Edmonds High School in 1947. He then married his high school sweetheart Helene Rose Seuss in the summer of 1948. In 1955 he graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Business Administration, a member of ROTC, and marched on the drill team. He graduated in 1955 and was accepted into the Air Force Jet Pilot Program, flying T-33's then onto piloting C-124's. Completing his duty he left the service as a 1st Lieutenant. Hired by West Coast Airlines in 1959 he flew F-27's and DC-9's. Retiring from the airlines after 25 years he accumulated 20,000 hours of flight time. Harry purchased Seattle Heights Mobile Home Park which he owned and operated until his passing.
Harry wanted to fly airplanes since high school, and accomplished that goal with excellence. He was also known as a man of compassion, generosity and love. The number of people he helped in their time of need is immense. They are blessed to know such a man. We have lost a one of a kind man here on earth but Heaven has gained an angel who really knows how to fly. You are missed more than all the stars in the universe. May all your flights be exciting and joyous. We love you always.
Harry is survived by his ex-wife, Helene; daughter, Heidi; son, Hal (fiance, Pam); grandchildren, Kelsey Rae and Shelby Rose; grandson, Chance Michael; brothers, Jimmie and Ron; and cousin, Nadine Eiford.
Funeral services will be held at Ronald United Methodist Church at 2:00 p.m. on October 24, 17839 Aurora Ave., Shoreline, WA. There will be a celebration of his life at the Eagles Club in Lynnwood at 4:00 p.m. the same day. Potluck would be appreciated.
