We still miss you, Mom, each of us feeling we lost out best friend. We try to abide by your instruction of "no moping" and now mostly remember with smiles and laughs. People still hear me say "Mom said...." and "Mom always did....". I still make rhubarb pie the way you told me over 50 years ago, and it is still a hit. When Debbie has questions about how our family did things, I share what I learned from you and with you.
I love when you visit me in my dreams, and I wish I could retain the memories of those dreams, but they tend to fade before the day is over. I wish I could understand what the visits are about or what wisdom I should derive from them. But I know that they are for sure about love.
I often try to channel you in my dealings with others, and have more success some times than at others. I still want you to be proud of me.
So much love...... Gayle

Dear Family: I remember all of you Clingman girls. we were all young people in those days at the lst Presby. Church in Everett. We joined the Young Peoples group and spent many happy times together. I eventually worked for Dr. Raue at lst Presby. Church and then went on to marry Bob Vaara and we had 56 wonderful years together; he passed away in March of 2003 and I still live here in Mill Creek (since l981).
You are all in my thoughts and prayers these sad days.

I am glad that the Herald has provided this opportunity for people to share their memories with our family about our wonderful mother, Helen Stowell.
Thank you for taking the time to add your thoughts here.
