Jacqueline Carnahan-Trapp Obituary

Jacqueline Lee Carnahan-Trapp went to the arms of the Lord on September 21, 2015, after an extended illness. Jacqueline was born in Seattle, Wash. on October 20, 1946, to John C. and Alice M. Carnahan. She grew up in Mukilteo, Wash. and graduated from Cascade High School in 1964. She received a scholarship to the Juilliard School of Music for singing, but became married instead. From that marriage, she had a daughter, Dawn and a son, Ronald (Jamie). By a second marriage she had a son, Michael. In 1992, she took a college English course, where her talent at writing showed itself. She wrote many short stories of her memories of her family, especially her children. Jacqueline was well known for her artistic creations of birthday and wedding cakes, as well as for her gourmet cooking. She was a friend to everyone she met, and everyone who knew her loved her honesty, sincerity and love for life. She never complained about the many illnesses that came her way, instead she knew there were others who were worse off than she. Jacqueline always gave of herself freely, without regard for her own needs and never expected anything in return. Jacqueline was co-owner in four businesses, Jacqueline Farms, Par Four, Trapp's Inc. and AJM Builders. She was also an accomplished bookkeeper. Jacqueline was preceded in death by her second husband, Mike Trapp in 1990 and her daughter, Dawn in 2015. She is survived by her sons, Ronald (Jamie) Trapp and Michael Trapp; and her constant companion of 25 years, Chuck Dudley. She is also survived by her mother, Alice Almgren; two brothers, John Carnahan and James Camahan, 11 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Jacqueline will be greatly missed and always loved.

We've never known anyone who loved life more than you. You fought through years of illness and setbacks, and you defied doctors' prognoses of eminent demise. You were a fighter till the end and taught us all who knew you how precious life is.

We will always remember your delight and enthusiasm for Steve Largent and the Seahawks. Those were exciting years.

God knows you tried to civilize Bud with your appreciation of things cultured, and the fine things in life. But you fell in love with a country boy.

One of our great memories of you was your fascination with frogs. When we were on trips, we were always on the prowl for frog items to add to your collection. After many years of kissing your frog, he did indeed turn into a Prince.

I first met Jackie when I was 15. She immediately took me in as one of her own. She was so loving, so beautiful she was also a lot of fun. Our earth has one less rose but our sky has a new star shining down on all of us. We will always love and miss you. Thank you for all you were to so many. We love you.

I was so sorry to read of Jackie's death. We met years ago when she was a patient at the hospital where I visited her daily as a chaplain. I always loved it when we would run into each other over the years. She was a spirited woman! My condolences to each of you! Sylvia Horsch

I still fondly remember how you came to my aid when I was laid low with pneumonia and in the midst of planning my daughter's wedding. And the cake
was fantastic! You did everything but dress me on that great day.
I'll bet you are still doing things like that in Heaven. You are missed.

I am sure you are still helping people in heaven.

Oh Jackie. You were one special lady. I will always remember our times together and the kindness you showed me. You were funny and spirited and showed me what confidence and strength in the face of adversity looked like. I take comfort that you aren't in pain anymore. Love you lady.

To the Carnahan Family so sorry for your loss. I am a classmate of Jim Carnahan and have just recently lost my older Brother Mike Weaver. It is so hard to loose a sibling.
