Jim was a treasure and I will always remember his wit and wisdom. I will share it in my travels with all that I meet as he shared with me and countless others. My thoughts and prayers will be with Eleanor. I hope to meet up with him at the great meeting some day and laugh the way we did so many times.

I remember back in the 70s when I was with Wang Labs and Jim recruited me to work for Data General. He took my wife and I to dinner at Jonah and the Whale in Bellevue. It only took a few minutes before I recognized that Jim was unlike any other manager I had ever worked for. I started work at DG the next week.
God speed Jim

Dear Eleanor and kids, So sorry to read of your loss. Jim was a good man, and helped many people with his wisdom and fun approach to recovery from alcohol and drug addiction. Jim will be remembered for his many contributions in helping the suffering. RIP my friend.
