Janet Lauritzen Obituary

Janet was born in Seattle WA. on 6/7/1955 to Norman R and Imogene Lauritzen. Janet was raised in Edmonds WA, graduating from Edmonds Senior High in 1974. She spent much of her life working in Alaska her true home in spirit. She loved Alaska, animals and underdogs. She had many friends, was a great cook, huge sense of humor, and did an outstanding job caring lovingly for her parents at the end of their lives. She lived her life unapologetically. You always knew where you stood, she told it like it was! Janet will be missed by many. She is preceded in death by two brothers Alan and Norman D Lauritzen. She is survived by her constant companion Mickey Moo, brother Conrad (Josee), sister Diane (Ron) and many nieces and nephews.

Our friendship spanned back to the late 70´s in Alaska. So many times we laughed together but unfortunately parted ways. You will always be in my happy memories. RIP Janet

Janet and I unfortunately lost touch about 15 years ago, she used to cut my hair. I have thought about her many times over the years and always wished I knew how to connect with her. She was a funny gal and always so sweet. RIP Friend
