Janice Sanderson Obituary

Janice "Jan" Kay Sanderson was born in Seattle on September 7, 1943. She passed away at her daughter's home surrounded by her son, daughter, and husband on July 25, 2017, after a short, fierce battle with breast cancer. She lived most of her life in Washington, with a brief hiatus in Miami, Florida. Jan loved to camp and hike and was just finishing her first stint as a campground host in Oregon when she was diagnosed with cancer. She traveled all over the Pacific Northwest, first in her little pickup truck, then upgrading to a RV when she retired. She is survived by her husband, three children, four grandchildren, and one great grandchild, also her mother, sister, twin brothers and all their children. She was a shining, happy person, who brought joy with her wherever she went and she will be greatly missed by anyone that knew her. A celebration of her life is being planned for early September. Jan's family suggests any condolences be made as a donation to the Woodland Park Zoo. "You're off to great places! Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting, So get on your way!" Dr. Seuss.
