Do not cry, Joan did not die. She lives on in the hearts of those she loved. We never have to say Good-Bye.

I will miss my special St Mary's friend so much. She welcomed and made me feel at home when I moved back to the area. It will be hard not to see her face in the pew where we all sat. She will be so missed by every life she touched even briefly. My prayers to her friends and family

There is an emptiness that only those who have lost a close friend could understand. My sympathy & prayers go to her family & many friends. She will be remembered & missed. God bless you Joan.

I volunteered with Joan at hospital and also played Bunko with her for 25 years. What a great lady! She loved her place on Tulip beach and boy could she cut wood. Roger-my husband-gave her aload from our place in Everett and she even helped split it and load it.
God Bless you and
will miss you,
Gale Olin

Doug and Holly, I was so sorry to hear about Joan. I volunteered at the hospital with her. We had some great times. I met you all at the beech house a long time ago.She would aways talk about her family next door. I didn't know she was ill. Take care. A long time friend Pat Daggett

My eyes teared up and my heart skipped a beat when I heard of my friend Joan passing.
I met her August 2005 and we immediately became fast friends enjoying each others company .
She was always smiling and fun to be around. I visited her several times at her Tulalip home where I enjoyed several sunsets from the beach there. I invited her to Hawaii to see our sunsets but, sadly, she never made it. Maybe she is viewing them now?
May God bless her ...... I will miss her very much.

We were friends for 35 years. She welcomed me with a warm smile and sage advice my first days with Everett Transit. Each infrequent meeting along the bus routes around Everett was with a hardy wave and smile. To say that she will be missed is an understatement as she held each person she ever met in such a special way that, even if it was for just a moment, you knew you were with a very special individual.
