John A. "Jack" Gleason

1933 - 2025

John (Jack) A. Gleason, aged 91, of Snohomish, WA, passed away on February 8, 2025. Born on April 30, 1933, in Lake Stevens, Jack was a lifelong resident of the Snohomish area. He attended Fobes School and graduated from Snohomish High School in 1951. Jack worked as a plumber and later served as a Business Manager for the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union, where he was a member for 72 years. Jack was married to Marilyn Doph, with whom he shared five children. After Marilyn's passing in April 1995, Jack remarried to Mary McReynolds in January 2001. Jack is survived by his wife, Mary; children Darrell (Shirley), Nanette (Rusty), Jane (Brian), Butch (Dianna), and daughter-in-law Tammi; stepchildren Emily, Ellie (Spencer), and Carrie (Jose); 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; Mary's four grandchildren; his sister, Pat Smith; and sister-in-law, Lavern Doph, along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife Marilyn, son Terry, sister Eileen Schwarzmiller, and brother Tom. Dad loved the outdoors and passed that love onto his children and grandchildren. Memorial services for Jack will be held on Thursday, February 27, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael's Church in Snohomish. Burial will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery, with a reception to follow.
