Joshua Shipman Obituary
A loving son, protective brother, goofy friend, and proud Marine, Joshua Edward Shipman, left this life on January 26th, 2021, in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Born to Meridith Rosevelt on August 12, 1996, in Chula Vista, CA, Joshua lived his life to love his family and serve his country.
Graduating from Marysville Pilchuck High School in 2014, Joshua worked at a local movie theater for one year before joining the US Marine Corps in July of 2015, at age 18. Serving as a Marine Security Guard in Afghanistan, Norway, and South Africa before returning to the US, Joshua served loyally and selflessly until the day of his passing.
Joshua is survived by his beloved mother Meridith, brothers Taylor and Bryce, and sister Kayana. He was preceded in death by his Nana, Judy Rosevelt.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a small, private memorial will be held at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home on Monday, February 8, 2021. The family would like to thank GnySgt Joseph Ortiz Jr and the US Marine Corps for all of the help and support through this difficult time.
