Kelly McCombs Obituary

Sept. 12, 1956-Sept. 7, 2014 Kelly Kathleen McCombs passed away peacefully in her home on September 7, 2014 at the age of 57. She fought hard and had many surgeries including a pacemaker, but her heart grew tired and God needed another angel. She was born on September 12, 1956 in Monroe, Wash. She lived her younger years in the valley and worked for her parents at the Sportsmen Inn for many years. She gave birth to her two daughters then headed east where she raised them and lived her final days. She is preceded in death by her daddy, Leslie. She is survived by her mother, Ada P., her daughters, Jennifer (Nick) and McKenzie (Kevin); her six grandsons whom she loved dearly, Timothy, Camren, Dylan, Myles, Dayton and Garrett; also brothers, John, Kim (Michell), Tim; sisters, Leslie (John) and Joyce (Don); and special friend John Meek. Her childhood friends, Tracy (Dave), Madge (Rich), Eva (Tom) and her special gang of 46 years, Sharon (Gene), Peggy (Gary), Linda (Don) along with so many others we can't name them all! She loved to embroider and she was a loyal Husky/Seahawks fan to the end. She has left a huge hole in our hearts and will be missed deeply, she's at peace now and we must hold on to the memories of the wonderful mother, daughter and person she was. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 4 p.m. at the Sultan Middle School, 301 High St., Sultan, WA with potluck following. She wished to be cremated and her ashes to be spread by Sharon, Peggy and Linda at Reiter Pit and in Chelan. A private ceremony will be held at a later date where the rest of her remains will be with her daddy in Malott. A fund has been set up on gofundme.com/e8zy7s if you wish to donate in lieu of flowers.

Not sure what to say?

October 27, 2014

My dear little sister. You will always be in my heart. Not everyone can say that their sister was their best friend, but you were that to me and I thank you for that. There were so many things that we wanted to do and we thought we had time to do them. I wish that we had taken the time. Rest in peace and be assured that I will always be there for your little girls, for they have become mine. With all my love to you. Wishing you peace. Your sister, Leslie Kay

Well I see that I'm the last of the gang to write in the book, so I guess it's time...I truly don't know where to begin nor do I like how this note will end. I have felt the pain of loss many times through my life but none this great. We feared this one, the 4 of us use to talk about never leaving each other, how would we go on with 1 of us missing, well it happened and now we're finding out just how hard it is. You my friend were so much more than my friend, you were my blood, my sister, my partner in crime! The things you and I would do to entertain Peg and Linda, what fun that was! There wasn't anything the 2 of us wouldn't do to get a laugh, I don't know what I'm going to do without you Kell...We did so much together, we were even pregnant together, and now our daughters are best friends, how awesome is that?! The 4 of us since we were 12yrs old, WOW unbelievable 46yrs of everlasting loving friendship. I wouldn't change one thing and NO money in the world could you pay for what the 4 of us had...Until we meet again my friend, I love you and will miss you each and every day...Sharon aka Boggsie aka The HO!

Kelly,
Since you've been gone their is a huge hole in my heart. I still can't believe that you are really gone. You were the best friend that anyone could ever have, I'm so lucky to have had so many wonderful, fun & crazy years with you. It's so true like Linda said that there's not a whole lot of people that have had the special kind of friendship that the 4 of us have had, 46 years of true friendship though thick or thin you were always there for me, I always knew I had you to talk to and you would listen to me and comfort me every time. My kids your niece's and nephew's Lacie, Chelsey, Jason & Chad loved you so so much! You are the most sweetest, caring and loving person I've known. I'm going to miss hearing your voice and having our sleepover's. You'll always be with me Kel in my heart. I love you sis forever!

I can't believe we're picking out music and pictures for your service. It doesn't seem real yet. This isn't the way it was supposed to be. Anything we do won't be enough to even touch on what your life was; the person you were, the great friend you were. All the memories, the good times and the bad; the fun we had, the trouble we got in and just the joy of all of us being together again. The fact that we made it through 46 years of living and we all still loved each other. Our lives will never be the same again with you gone. When we were together, even if it was a year or two in-between it always was easy and seemed like we just did this last week. There aren't too many people that get to experience that kind of true friendship in their life; I am so thankful we did. There are too many things left we wanted to do, and you were supposed to be here to do them with us. I will always carry a piece of you with me in my heart and I know we will all be together again someday, although, if you have any pull up there please try not to make it too soon! I love you Kelly!
