Kenneth Brown Obituary

Kenneth Wayne Brown

Kenneth Wayne Brown, having reached the majestic age of 86, passed away at Providence Hospital in Everett, WA June 10, 2012 surrounded by the loving family he and his wife, Charlotte, raised together.
Born January 20, 1926 in Stigler, Oklahoma, Ken experienced life as one of eight children in the James and Iva Brown family. During World War II, he was stationed in the Philippines, after which he received an Honorable Discharge as a Fireman 1st Class EM on February 10, 1946. Four months later on June 28, he married his best friend, soul mate and darling girl, Charlotte, and together they raised a happy crew of five sons and a daughter, Mike, Dennis, Steve, Tim, Perry and Molly.
Ken graduated from the University of Washington as a young man and held several careers in his life, including Whatcom County Assessor, but what held the most value to him was always his family.
"The family is the THING" he wrote on a banner one Thanksgiving. Through his example of steadfast love, Ken's family; including ten grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson, remains strong and united. '...that they may be one just as We are one.' John 17:22

Uncle Ken was always a joy to be around. His patience and mellow disposition always made us kids feel welcome although I'm sure we tried his patience many times. He will be missed greatly.

You will be so missed Uncle Ken. You were a treasure of a man. Favorite memory of many, the wonderful Christmas letters/poems you wrote for Santa to read on his annual visit on Christmas Eve! They were the best! Hugs & thoughts to everyone in our family!
