Kenneth Forrest

1939 - 2023

Kenneth Roger Forrest, 84 of Marysville, WA passed away at home on December 4th, 2023 surround by his family. Ken was born September 2nd, 1939 in Everett, WA to Leonard and Helen Forrest. He graduated Everett High School in 1957. Ken was an avid fowl hunter and started hunting at the age of 8. His passion for hunting spanned his entire life and he shared that passion teaching his son, nephews and neighborhood boys. He also loved long distance bike riding. He was very proud of his longest ride - Everett, WA to Nova Scotia, Canada. Ken was an avid reader and had a love of history, geography and trivia. He rarely missed watching Jeopardy. He was a very talented pre fabricated welder and spent a lot of time in the Seattle shipyards and Dutch Harbor Alaska. He restored his 1948 Buick Roadmaster and won many ribbons at car shows. He was a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He will be deeply missed by his wife Greta Soucy, children Gina Mott (Paul), Denise Janisko, Erik Forrest and Danielle Strickland (Terrance). His grandchildren Dean Somes, Ashley Baltazar, Jonathan Baltazar, John Janisko, Ashtin Mott, David Janisko, Isaiah Mott and Christopher Alpers and 9 great grandchildren. He will also be missed by his 2 sisters Nanette Lippold (Herold) and Suzan Thompson (Craig). He was proceeded in death by his parents and grandson Jacob Alpers. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
