I remember Lane as the nice boy who lived just a block over from my house as a kid. He was sweet and his house was always neat as a pin. I remember he asked me to dance once at some dance, and he was very gentlemanly. This really saddens me to hear the news of his passing. I hope he had a really happy life.

Back in 1976 Lane sold me my first car and I have never forgot his name. He told me that I could drive a stick and the encouragement worked, I drove home a brand new honda civic, stick and all,
