Lillian Beard Obituary

Lillian G Beard Lillian G. Beard, 88, passed away quietly on February 12, 2016. She was born on December 22, 1927. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Lucius. Together they had five kids, Beverly, Edward (Linda), Sharon (David), Robert (Vickie), Janet (Allen), eight grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. Lillian lived her early years in Fortson, Washington where her dad worked in the lumber camps. Lillian grew up in Everett and raised her family there. She went to nursing school at General Hospital of Everett and completed her RN. She worked for over 30 years in the nursery caring for babies. When she and Lucius retired, they built their dream home in Marysville and raised berries and fruit trees. Lillian loved sewing and knitting. She always had a pair of slippers to share or doll clothes for her granddaughters and great granddaughters. She was active in Campfire with her daughters. She also made the best rolls. The family wishes to thank the staff at Garden Court who supported her and the family through her last days. Services will be on Saturday, February 20, 1 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 24th and Lombard, Everett. In leiu of flowers, please make donations to Providence General Foundation, PO Box 1067, Everett, WA 98206.

Many years ago I met your mom in Everett when I taught first grade at Whittier Elementary and had both Robert and Janet in my class. I was always impressed with the care she gave to her family and the joy that they brought her. Later I moved next door to Grace Lark and found out that she worked with your mom and the friendship they shared. Our paths crossed again when she and her husband moved to Marysville. We often would run into each other as we grocery shopped. She would fill me in on the latest family events. Treasure the memories you have of her and follow her example by sharing your love with others. She will be missed but her legacy with live on through her children and grandchildren.

We were so sorry to hear of the passing of your mom. She was someone we knew since childhood. We were friends of Beverly, Eddy, Sharon and later Bobby and Janet She made us some Barbie clothes and flannel blankets for our dolls She was a mom figure to us always treating us nice. All of our moms in the neighborhood were friends. All of us will miss her Our thoughts and prayers are with you now and in the days ahead

Lillian and my mom, Donna Levin, were best friends since nursing school. Their combined 10 children stairstepped in age - me being the eldest to Janet being the baby. Mom was married to Lillian's sisters' widower, Dick, for almost 35 years. Lillian was part of the Thompson children's lives for over 60 years.
My sympathy and prayers to Lucias and his children and grandchildren. You lost a beautiful person. Her spirit will remain in your hearts forever until you meet again in heaven

I was your Moms hairdresser for the last several years, and I feel like I know each of you personally. She shared stories with me about all of you, and the love for each of you was abundant! I loved her sweet and nurturing spirit. What a gift you all got having her for a Mom. My husband Alan and I are so sorry for your loss, but rejoice in the knowledge that she now rests in the arms of Jesus.

A heart full of sympathies to all of you guys. Your mom was a beautiful person and I will never forget the endless hours she gave up from her family to be a wonderful Campfire Leader to a bunch of wild girls. I remember those Wednesday nights at your house Sharon like they were last week. Thanks for sharing your mom for all of those great times and please accept my deepest sympathies for your loss. With lots of fond memories and hugs, Kathy Crocker
