Lois Edelbrock Obituary

Lois Elaine Edelbrock June 29, 1957-September 3, 2018 Lois Elaine Edelbrock, 61, passed away in a tragic accident on September 3, 2018. Lois was born on June 29, 1957 in Miles City, MT to Randall and Virginia Carey, moving to the Seattle area at the age of 3. In 1963 the family moved to Mountlake Terrace, WA where she attended Mountlake Terrace schools and graduated in 1975. During her last few years of high school she worked as a box girl at Safeway, continuing as a checker until she became a mom. On November 1, 1975 she married the love of her life, Michael B. Edelbrock, and they would have celebrated 43 years of marriage this November. As a little girl she would tell the neighbors she was going to have three boys, she got her bonus first, Jessi. They became the parents of Jessi, Boyd, Kyle and Wade, who have blessed them with nine grandchildren, Madeline, Lane, Kody, Reese, Lacy, Hank, Kaci, Kate and Chase. Lois enjoyed a happy life that was fueled by being a mom and grandma. She was like an Energizer Bunny, always cooking, cleaning, babysitting, exercising, cutting hair, sewing, gardening and decorating. Running up to their cabin in the winter, riding snowmobiles, going on family camping trips and traveling, were all things she loved. The only thing she didn't like was shopping. Mike and Lois started Mickelo in 1983, they worked together and built it up to become a successful commercial construction company still running today. Lois was classy, always put together, she was an organizer, putting on a last-minute dinner, throwing together a birthday or anniversary party. Her smile will live in our hearts forever, she was funny with her words of wisdom. Words cannot describe how much she will be missed. She is survived by husband, Mike; daughter, Jessi; and sons, Boyd (Joni), Kyle (Jenn), Wade (Courtney); grandchildren, Madeline, Lane, Kody, Reese, Lacy, Hank, Kate, Chase; (Kaci perished in the same accident as her grandma); siblings, Carol, Ron (Teresa), Darrald (Jackie), Jennie (Corey); and numerous nieces and nephews; mother, Virginia Carey. A Celebration of Life will be held on October 26, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Hollywood School House, 14810 NE 145th St, Woodinville, WA 98072

Lois showed everyone the true meaning of wife and best friend, mother, grandmother, daughter, and friend. The world lost a beautiful soul but heaven gained a cherished spirit.

Dear Lois, I know you are a light in so many lives. I still remember your smile and sunny personality as your friend in junior high school. All of these years later the thought of you still warms my heart. I know you're shining so brightly in Heaven with the Angels. I'm praying for your family and all who love you. May comfort and peace surround them. God bless your beautiful soul Lois.

Lois had a heart of gold. Beautiful inside and out I will always remember her kind words and always smiling. She was one of those gorgeous girls who never let that go to her head. We ran into each other when she was pregnant with Jessi and wow she was so excited I'll never forget that. I know she had a happy good life. My sympathies to all of you. My heart will forever ache also. May God comfort you. My love to all of you. Nancy Ellen Lane 75 MLT
