Our loving mother passed away peacefully on December 7, 2007. She was born on June 19, 1920 in Marysville, Washington.
Lorene graduated from Marysville High School in 1937. She lived in Darrington for a short time before moving to Everett where she lived in the same house for 57 years. She then moved back to Marysville and lived at Linda's Adult Family Home for the last year.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Loren and Arza Lea Brooks; sisters, Mildred Tastad and Faye Wilson. She married Pete Shipley (deceased) and Maynard Logan (deceased).
She is survived by her four daughters, Sandie Steig (Henry McCormick) of Everett, Sue Shipley of Goodyear AZ, Pam (Larry) Johnson of Marysville and Patty (Irv) Tellesbo of Arlington; eight grandchildren, Duane Steig of Monroe, John Durr (Bruce Davies), Jason (Virgie) Durr, of Goodyear, AZ, Jamey (Dayna) Durr, Anchorage, AK, Heather Tellesbo, Arlington, Michelle Johnson, Queen Creek, AZ, Dawn Johnson of Marysville, Jeremy Tellesbo, Arlington; 12 great-grandchildren, Brandon, Jordyn, Jaedyn, Jonathan, Markus and Jack Durr, China, Areya, Neil and Leah Zugish and Holly and Eddie Batt; sisters-in-law, Mary Allen and Carm Lennox; and a numerous amount of nephews and nieces. She was cherished by her family and will be in our hearts forever.
She retired from the Everett Kmart Store where she had worked for 10 years. She loved to play bingo and cards with her sisters-in-law, Mary and Carm.
We would also like to thank all of her care givers at Linda's and the hospice nurses who took such good care of her.
At her wishes she will be cremated and placed in the Arlington Cemetery on January 7, 2008 at 3:00 p.m.
The family request in lieu of flowers, make a donation to North County Providence Hospice.

Pam & Larry, your mom was a very special woman and I remember the countless number of times that we walked through the front door and she always greeted us with her warm smile. And then the many times that we found her at Kmart, usually because we wanted something from her. I wish you both the comfort and peace in knowing that she is dancing with the angels. My prayers are with you at this difficult time. Jeanette
