Mr. Bianchi was a man with a tremendous amount of knowledge. What set him apart from the other teachers was the fact that he cared about his students, and tried to reach each and every one of his students. I was his TA as well as having him for my teacher. He was so proud of his sons, and spoke often of his parents in a fond manner. They raised an incredible son, and father of his own two boys. He will be missed by me greatly, his wisdom and knowledge that he taught me and his kindness for others I shall not forget.

The sudden and sad loss of Mr. Bianchi is news I recently learned about from my dad. I'll never forget how he challenged me to exceed all the expectations I set for myself.
Much like others have posted, he had a reputation for being a hard teacher, yet after three classes from him I realized he only expected students to think, not just "cooperate and graduate". This is his lasting legacy.
A teacher who shared my passion for history...A teacher I consider a friend.
I'll miss him.

Wow, the real world is a hard thing to face. I had Mr. Bianchi my senior year. At first all I had heard was he was a hard teacher and loved to argue. Well he proved everyone wrong he was the only teacher that actually taught me something and it stuck. He never argued he just stated his opinion and usually he made great points. I remeber walking up to him 3 weeks before graduation with my grade in my hand and let's just say it wasn't the best. He made a deal with me that if I came in every morning and studied with him he would help me out. Also I was terrified to take the BIG test that is required to take in order to pass his class. Once again he helped me study and taught me ways to understand and learn. I walked out of his class with a big smile and more knowledge then I ever had. I will miss him so much. *To his family , I want you to know that everyday he would start class out by mentioning something about you. His two sons were the topic of everything. I know he was a great father, son and friend to many. My thoughts are with you.

There are not enough words to describe the impact Mr. Bianchi had on the people around him. He was a man of presence in every sense of the word. You knew you needed to listen when he spoke (and if you didn't at first you sure figured it out pretty quick). To his family, I am very sorry for your loss. Make sure his boys know that he was a man of conviction, a fantastic teacher and coach. He worked hard and expected the people around him to work hard as well. I have many great memories from my days at Arlington High, more than a few include time spent in his classes. I had him for Geography and US History (what a tough class). I was fortunate enough to be his TA during another one of his US History classes so I got to hear his presentations twice, but he never let me correct those papers. I'm glad he had such high expectations for us students, it really made me stretch to meet them and prepared me better for the real world. As others have said, He will be greatly missed by many and AHS will have hard time finding a teacher to try to fill his shoes.
Mr. Bianchi, Thank you for believing in me.

Mr. Bianchi was my Freshman History/Geography teacher. He was an awesome teacher and friend! I will never forget him and the life lessons that he taught me. He wasn't just a teacher, he was a mentor and friend to many young men and women. I know he made a difference in my life and many others, too. I will miss you, Mark! My prayers go out to your family as they grieve the loss of a wonderful man.

To Mark Bianchi's Family, I say that your loss is the greatest any person can endure. Know that you are not alone in your grief. To David and Monte, I say to remember your father. remember what he stood for and honor his spirit by how you live your lives. You can have no greater legacy than this. Mr Bianchi was not only a good person, he was a leader of many. He wasn't a man who went through life passively. He left an impression on everyone he came in contact with. There aren't many people who could say they didn't know how they felt about him. Either you liked him or you didn't, and this because of his free-thinking and strightforward manner. We won't forget him. Not the students and teachers from Arlington, not his friends, colleges, family or even acquaintances.

I remember being in Mr. Cunninghams class and finding out we had to switch classes for one reason or another. I was so mad... I had Mr. Cunningham for 3 years and i was comfortable in his class. And the first day we had in that class went pretty smooth then after awhile i was like Oh My Goodness, Hes such a mean man.. But then i just listened to him talk and teach and i was like wow. Maybe hes not so bad. Rumors of Every one fails his class. Well he said if you need help come to me and say something and you won't fail. TAKE NOTES!!! Yea i still have my 3 subject notebook from his class jam packed with Mark Bianchi wisdom that i almost threw out over the summer. I am a senior graduating in June and i was looking forward to proving to him that I CAN DO IT! He used to say that when i went in to talk to him about assignments and just life he'd say YOU CAN DO IT!! LIFE SUCKS BUT... YOU CAN DO IT! And i did and i will.. Sorry mr. bianchi i wont be able to shake your hand or even give you a hug goodbye.. But i'll have to show you from down here as you watch all your students up above as they succeed, learn and gain wisdom and graduate from high school... My deepest sympathy to his sons, Your dad talked about you two everyday. He was so proud and he loved you very much. And to the rest of his family, he loved sharing stories on his past, family and friends. HE WAS A GREAT STORY TELLER... Best wishes.. Sarah

Mr. Bianchi was one of the most inspiring teacher ever. He made coming to History class every day worth it. I learned so much from that man. If I could say one thing to this incredable man, I would say "Thank You." He helped me believe in myself and helped me graduate when everyone else didn't believe in me. I am very saddened by this and I will always miss him.

Mr. Bianchi was an awesome teacher. I never had him but he was involved with many students. I know that he left an impact in my brother's life as well as many other students. I remember seeing him in the assemplies as if it was yesterday. It is going to be very hard to be put after such a great man. He will be VERY missed and best wishes to his family during this time.

I was shocked to hear that Mr. Bianchi has passed on. I will always remember how he encouraged me to think beyond one answer, and look for two. He made an impact on my life in high school and forever. I hope that I can become 1/2 the teacher that he was.

I was the Social Studies head when we hired Mark at Arlington. I was his colleague for 14 years and remember his passion for teaching and for his students. Mark always challenged his students and had high expectations. He also demonstrated good parenting and accountability to all high school students through his love for his own boys. I know he will be missed at Arlington High. My sympathy goes to his family and to his many friends.

"Knowledge is power"
If you sat in Mr. Bianchi's class then you would have heard him say "knowledge is a powerfull tool". He was the best teacher ever. If you had the chance to have a class with Mr. Bianchi then you know there is no better teacher out there. He was a history taecher who would teach you history and even more about everyday life. I never went beyond high school, because everything I needed to know I learned in Mr. Bianchi class. You will be greatly missed by all the lifes you have touched.
P.S. AHS the best of luck at finding a replacement teacher, those are so BIG shoes to fill.

Mr. Bianchi was a wonderful man. I had him my freshman year in school and even though he was a teacher and I was a student, I will always consider him a friend and will never forget him. He holds a special place in my heart. My condolences go out to his family and loved ones.

What a terrible lose for his children, family and future students. He made getting to class first thing in the morning worth it. Challenging and "thinking outside the box", my High School experiance and life was worth while and interesting in a time when I could use his unique guidance.

I am currently attending UTI in Arizona. I came home for Christmas, and before I left to go back to Az, I went down to the High School to visit some of my former teachers. I was sadden when I heard of Mr Bianchi's sudden death. Nothing can prepare you for this. I give my heartfelt sympathy to his family and friends. He will be dearly missed by all.
