Mark Connor Obituary

Mark James Connor went to be with the Lord on January 25th, 2024. He passed away at his home, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Kalispell, MT in 1959. His family moved to Lynnwood, WA where Mark grew up and graduated from Lynnwood HS in 1978.

Mark was a bricklayer for a number of years, became a reserve police officer in 1983 and then ultimately a police officer for the City of Mountlake Terrace in 1985. He served that community in many positions, including sergeant and assistant chief, for over 27 years. After retiring from the Mountlake Terrace PD he worked as a security officer at the Federal Court in Seattle until recently.

Mark is survived by his wife Nancy of 43 years, sons, Jacob (Alex) Connor, and Bryan (Katrina) Connor. He was a proud Bampa to his five grandchildren, Isaac, Oaklyn, Ashtyn, Olivia and Jackson. Mark is also survived by his brother Harold Connor, sister LaVonne (Randy) Sheldon, and twin brother Mike (Kim) Connor. He was preceded in death by his parents Lyle and Andrea Connor.

I remember when Mark started at the MLT police department in 1983 and when he was hired as a full time police officer in 1985. He was very enthusiastic about his job and excelled quickly at learning police work. He always carried out his duties in a professional manner and I considered him a good friend. You could always depend on Mark to have your back in any tense or dangerous situation. I also enjoyed his fantastic sense of humor. Mark will be missed.
