Miriam was a good friend when my husband and I lived in Snohomish. I think of her often because she made me a quilt which I use to this day... The quilt was made after she joined me and a group of other folks from the area to campaign for Ellen Craswell when she ran for governor years ago. After the campaign, she had my key team players, including my family and Ellen write their signatures on pieces of the quilt. It is a cherished memory and I continue to use the quilt in our parlor.

When our oldest children were young we lived on Emerson St., just a few houses away from Miriam, Ken and Miriam´s dad. It was wonderful to make friends with Miriam and with the children. Though we lost touch over the years, I was sad to read of Miriam´s recent death. I will always remember Miriam, her sewing skills, and especially her signature outfit; a dress every day regardless of the weather. My condolences to Ken and the family.
