Patrick Joseph O'Connell Jr was born November 11, 1965 in Sioux Falls SD to Sandy and Pat O'Connell. His family moved to Washington when he was a baby and eventually settled in Lake Stevens. In his youth Pat played baseball, soccer, wrestled and ran cross country. He graduated from Lake Stevens High School in 1984. He joined the Navy after high school and served on the USS Vincennes. After his time in the military, Pat lived in Arlington, Wa and worked in manufacturing at local companies including Bayliner, Kenworth and Boeing. Pat enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids. He loved sports and movies and was always quizzing everyone on his sports trivia knowledge. The Seahawks and the Sonics were his favorite teams. He also said cooking always made him happy.
Pat gained his wings on April 22, 2021. He is preceded in death by his father Patrick Joseph O'Connell Sr. He leaves behind his mother Sandy Tsiang, siblings Chonnee O'Connell, Mike O'Connell, Cindy Sheppard (Elrond). His wife Lisa and his children Keri Thomas, Allyson Olson(Mike), Emily Verhoeff, Anthony O'Connell (currently serving in the US Navy) and Payton O'Connell. All his grandkids Marjorie, Trisha, Chase, Daniel, Naomi, Vivian and Tori. Multiple nephews and nieces as well as 2 great nephews and a great niece.
A private celebration of life will be held at Ebenezer Lutheran church May 13. A livestream will be available for all to view through the church Facebook page.
