Peter Keating Obituary

Feb. 28, 1949-Feb. 7, 2015 Peter Keating, 65, of Marysville, Wash.; died peacefully in his sleep, surrounded by his family the morning of February 7, 2015. A kind hearted man with a generous spirit and a joy for life has departed for his next great adventure. He will be greatly missed and is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 45 years, Patricia; his sons, Bill (Danny) and Pete (Erika); and his grandchildren, Brynn and Gavin. He will also be remembered by his nieces and nephews, and lifelong friends. Born on February 28, 1949 in North Adams, Mass.; he grew up in New England and went on to do his duty as a proud US Veteran of the Vietnam War, serving honorably in the US Air Force for 23 years. Later in life, in Washington, as a skilled tradesman he used his expertise as a Machinist to help to build airplanes for Boeing. We will always remember and love this great man. As per his last wishes, a private family service is planned and no public funeral will occur. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in his name to the Northwest Alzheimer's Association.

We are richly blessed to have walked through our lives with Pete & Pat, Bill and Peter John. Our friendship has carried us into retirement from the time our children were still holding our hands. Our time trips to WA and their trips to CT and FL showed us that miles do not separate real true friends they are as close as our heart. So it is true with his passing that he remains in our hearts. How blessed we are to have such a friends.

I was sad to read of Peter's passing. I worked with him for several years at Boeing. He was a kind and gentle soul with a great love for life. God bless you, Keating family.

Dear Pat and family:
I was so sad to hear of Peter's passing. He was truly one of a kind, with a smile that would light up a room. He was such a kind man and he loved his family so very much. If you met Peter once you were a friend for life. I worked at PEC with Pat and Peter met my mother and she adopted him as her 3rd son, and even now, altho she is 91, she will say I wonder how my son is doing. I can now tell her, when she asks, that Peter is doing great, walking in the sun and having a great time, while at the same time so missing his beautiful Pat and his family...I will keep you all in my prayers and will light a special candle just for Peter...love to you Pat

Keating Family,

I will always remember Peter's visits to PEC over the years that Pat was my co-worker. He always asked about my family, especially my kids...and he was happy to keep me up to date on what Bill and Pete were up to.

I was amazed by the beautiful Hawaiian flowers he sent Pat to remind her of one of their favorite vacation destinations.

Your are all in my thoughts!!

With love,

Arlene Rinner
