Phillip Henderson

Phillip M Henderson passed from this world on September 19, 2023. He lost a short battle with lung cancer. He was 70 years old. His wife was by his side, loving him as he passed.

Phillip is survived by his loving wife Melinda. Their 3 sons, his pride and joys, Hans (Allison) , Seth (Rilee) and Gareth (Demri). Who have given him 7+ grandkids Genevieve, Imelda, Adelina, Valentina, Samuel, Alyssa, Rhett and Tyber who is arriving in November. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Amy , brothers Max (Cynthia) and Eric, and sister Diana. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews including great and great, great ones.

Phillip was preceded in death by his dad Clifford Jr, mom Lois, older brother Clifford III, and sister-in-law Lisa. His family meant the world to him.

He was a veteran of the US Army. Phil played semi-pro baseball for the Benicia City Limits. As a dad he was very involved in Stilly Valley Little League, AYFA (Arlington Youth Football Association), Arlington High School Football, Baseball, Wrestling, Cross Country and Track as our boys went through these programs. He made it a priority to be at all of the practices, games, matches and meets.

He also loved to fish, go camping and travel the world. Some knew him as Phelps. He has also been called a Man of all Waters, which was very fitting.

He was the best husband, father, uncle and grandpa. Family and friends were the things that meant the most to him, memories. Rest in peace my love.

We will have a private interment. A celebration of his life will be held in our backyard on May 18, 2024. Starting at 11 am and going until we are done celebrating Phillip's life. If you need the address feel free to contact his loving wife Melinda at yme1372@yahoo.com.
