Iam so sorry to read of Bob's passing. He and Hertha often passed me on walks in Edmonds with their beautiful smiles, although I met them while attendin Meadowdale High. Peace be with you. The world has lost a wonderful soul.

Bob was my principal when I began my teaching career in the Fall of 1964 at Martha Lake Elementary. I am so glad that I had the opportunity to work at his school for 4 years. His encouragement and support made my first years in the classroom a special experience. During that time, I married an airman from Paine Field. Four months after we were married he was sent to Clark Air Base in the Philippines with temporary duties in Viet Nam. Bob was so caring as to my situation. I consider it a blessing to have known him as a mentor and friend. Marguerite Blue
