Ronald Dean Pooler Sr., age 80, of Everett, Washington, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on April 24, 2025. Born in Monroe, Washington, on March 8, 1945, Ron lived a life full of laughter, love, and passion.
Ron proudly served as Chief of the Paine Field Fire Department and also worked with the Snohomish School District, where he left a lasting impact through his dedication and service.
Outside of work, Ron was a true gearhead at heart. He spent countless hours building classic hot rods, attending car swap meets, and showing off his prized creations at rod runs. His passion for cars was only rivaled by the joy he found in sharing that passion with his friends-often accompanied by a good story and a few "shenanigans"
Known for his playful spirit and goofy sense of humor, Ron never missed an opportunity to make someone laugh. Whether it was through a quick joke or a lighthearted prank, he brought joy wherever he went.
Ron is survived by his beloved bride, Sharon Pooler; daughter, Alison Vail; granddaughter, Jacqueline Pooler; and his great-grandson and best buddy, Brayden Burnett-who held a very special place in his heart. As well as extended family and many loved friends.
He was preceded in death by his dearly missed and only son, Ronald Dean Pooler Jr.; his mother-in-law, Terry L. Welborn; and many dear hot rodding buddies who surely welcomed him with open arms and Roaring engines.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday July 26th, 1pm-4pm at the family residence, located at 2222 Jade Ave., Everett, WA 98201. Parking available at First Christian Reformed Church 1429 McDougall.
AIl who knew and loved Ron are welcome to join in remembering and honoring the incredible man he was. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten-his laughter, stories, and spirit will live on in those who loved him most.

In deepest sympathy to Sharon and family. I have great memories of hot-rod days with Ron, and my stepfather Tom worked with Ron at the county years ago. He always had great stories!
