We never got to meet Ruth, but her strength and beauty live on in her daughter Leeann, and will be passed on to her granddaughter Hope. God bless all of you. Love and prayers, Marie and Kevin

I will always remember visiting Aunt Ruth and Uncle Solon and playing with my cousins Solon Jr, Eric, Leeann and Kerry. I loved going to their store and playing with them. I remember the yellow school bus trip to Canada, I believe, where we found tons of coins in the grass and we thought we were rich. I believe this was their bus they made into a motor home, if I am remembering right. Anyway, I always was intrigued with Ruth's love for her kids and grandkids and how much she used to talk about them with pride in her voice and a smile on her face. She was a hip woman keeping up with them through facebook. She will be missed. Mom says she will miss the time they spent together every time mom and dad went up to Washington and mom and her would get together and hangout for lunch or playing cards and such. May Aunt Ruth rest in peace.

Aunt Ruth had an amazing laugh. It was uniquely her own, but infectious to everyone. I hope that thinking about her laugh will continue to bring smiles to everyone - what a wonderful legacy to leave.

Ruth Ann and I grew up in the same community, attending Swan River School and Bethany Lutheran Church together.
With her parents, I attended her graduation at Waldorf Junior College. We were both in Seattle in the 1960's. Now, my home is next to her land in Montana.
Ruth Ann has been a very special friend during all these years. I will miss her warm smile and our special times together in Seattle and Montana.
Wishing you comfort in the love and beautiful
memories of Ruth Ann who meant so much
to you.

I met Ruth when my sister married Solon, but I did not really get to know her until we rode the STP together in 2001. I tell you what, when Ruth put her mind to something, there was no stopping her. Ruth was amazing on that bike, persistant and consistant! Thank you Ruth for being an inspiration!

We so enjoyed Ruth's company at all of the soccer games over the many years with the boy's playing soccer for so many years together. She was an awesome person and so much fun to talk to while cheering the team on. Please rest in peace.

I worked at Precor when Ruth worked there. She was such a fun lady. I remember her talking about the Seattle to Portland bike ride. We kept track of the miles she rode before the trip while she was training. My sister was her buddy on the trip. I still have her gift she gave me from one of her trips to Montana. I know her heart was always in Montana.

I have known Leeann and Kerry since high school, I remember going to their store in Clearview to meet up for various things and Ruth would always be so interested in how things were going, have a ready hello hug and great big smile and if you were really lucky a fresh donut :) An amazing woman who leaves a legacy of children and grandchildren that were shaped and blessed by her love and caring.

I love you and miss you very much. You where an excellent teacher and giver. You respected me even when I was not handling thing the way you would. The multiple trips to Montana and the beach place, the singing of songs, playing cards and board games, bus with my daughter, visiting me where ever I lived, Disney World, Daytona Beach, bringing all of thanksgiving but the turkey to Portland, putting 100+ miles on the car after school, the white rat with the fuzzy tail, teaching me to sew, your smile and hug, you're the best mom ever. I miss you and love you very much. Leeann

I lived in Clearview and grew up in the "older" days when you were 7 and could walk miles to the store by yourself and even cross a highway. The only rules check in tell your parents where you were and be inside before porch lights came on. We would walk to the store and most of the time I would only have pennies and I would go thinking I was rich. It wasnt until a few years later that I realized she was bagging my candy taking my pennies but it costed so much more. I grew up with her daughter LeeAnne. I am so sad to hear of her passing and even sadder as I feel her children's pain. I know she is already missed by many and my prayers go to the family who she loved with all her heart. May god comfort them in their sorrow and saddness and wrap his arms around them giving them peace during this time.

I have only known Ruth a short time. She was in my Bible Study Fellowship group this year. She always had a lot of wisdom and I enjoyed hearing the insight she had from our study of God's word. I pray that the God of all comfort will be with her family and friends during this difficult time. You can be sure that she is dancing in heaven with a big smile on her face.
With sympathy and condolence,
Terri

I am sorry to hear of such a terrible loss. I have fond memories of growing up with Eric and Solon and going to the family store in Clearview and being greeted by Ruth. May she rest in peace. I hope her family knows that God is now taking care of her and she is always watching from above. My thoughts and prayers go out to her entire family.
