Shawn Geiger Obituary

Shawn Geiger

Shawn Geiger was born in Renton, WA August 1, 1991. We lost Shawn on July 7, 2007.
Shawn endeared his life here on earth. We are all going to miss his beautiful red hair and bright blue eyes. Shawn was a very loving, caring, compassionate young man. Shawn's smile would light up a room and you knew the smile was sincere. Shawn enjoyed riding his motorcycle, playing his guitar. He adored his dog, Sammy and his gecko. Templeton.
Shawn attended Sumner HS in his freshman year, and Kamiak HS in Mukilteo, in his sophomore year.
Shawn was preceded in death by his grandfather, Wilbur Russell.
Shawn is survived by his father Tom Geiger of Sumner and his mother Victoria Russell of Everett; sisters, Kirra and Desirae Williams, and Marsha Geiger; grandparents Chuck and Carol Geiger of Renton and Beverly Russell of Everett; great-grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins; and a niece Alexa Williams whom he adored.
We invite all who knew him to join us for memorial service to be held July 20, 2007 at Saint Pius X, 22301 58th Ave West, Mountlake Terrace WA 98043. Services will start at 11:00 a.m.
Any donations can be made to Children's Hospital, a place where Shawn was always treated with much love and a very special caring touch.

Victoria, I was very saddened to see Shawn in today’s obituaries. Your biggest fear has happened. I am so sorry. That horrible disease almost took my husband last summer. How very helpless you must have felt all these years. I have thought of you and Shawn often. You were a wonderful and caring mother to him. I hope you can find the strength to get through this awful time. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

"Slip and Slide", yeah, we remember the day that Shawn and his family and friends came to our place and that was the year of the BIG slip and slide. Shawn had a BLAST.3 Days of up and down that steep hill to fix the traps and just to make another trip down, even with Boxer (the dog). He couldn't get enough, more water and baby oil and off he went for hours. Our thoughts are with you Tom and Marsha and the rest of the family.

Victoria and family, I was a past co-worker of Victoria's at Philips Medical Systems. I haven't seen or talked to her for a long time, but the passing of her son was brought to me and I have to pass along my condolences to the family and Victoria. I too have lost a son recently and know the grief you are all feeling. You think you will never feel "normal" again, but in time there will be a new normal and your memories of Shawn will see you through. The laughter you had together will always be a sweet sound in your heart. Godbless all of you.
Much love and prayers are being sent to all of you.

Shawn, you were such a wonderful young man. I never met anyone who had more courage than you. You were such a joy to have in our lives. There was always something funny and witty coming out of your mouth no matter what kind of situation we were all in. Just like your father! You two were so much alike. He is really going to miss you terribly, as will we all. We are so blessed to have known you Shawn. We are going to miss you. You will forever be in our thoughts and in our hearts!

I feel very blessed to have met Shawn a few years back. That bright red hair and those sparkling blue eyes.... I remember oh so well. Shawn is exactly what I wanted and prayed for in a son, if God would bless me one day. A smile that would lite up the evening skys and oh so very smart too! Great joy comes to me each time I think of him. Then theres Victoria, his mother, such a lovely lady, a friend, I'd like to think. She treated me with such love and kindness, from the first time we met, each and every time we saw one another. These are very special people, heartwarming, joyfully embracing, while leaving our lives better, with loving memories forever. 7/7/07 God picked a special day to bring his child, Shawn, back to him. My deepest, heartfelt sympathy goes out to you, Victoria. Thank you for sharing your treasure, Shawn, we me... God Bless You always! You both are in my prayers...Please call me..

I would like to extend my sympathy and prayers to Shawn's family and other loved ones. Shawn was one of my 1st grade students at Oak Heights Elementary School 1997-1998. Looking back at class photos, it seemed he moved part way through the school year. He looks so much like the cute little red-haired 1st grader back then. He had Mrs. Carmichael the year before in Kindergarten. She and I are both now retired, but students live on in memories. I do recall that, while Shawn seemed energetic, he did have extra medical appointments. It sounds like he was a fine young man and I am sorry for your untimely loss.

Even though I did not know Shawn very well, what I saw, and knew the small bit I did, he was an amazing person and I wish that I had gotten to know him more. He was a strong person and I send my greatest wishes towards his family. Stay strong for him, he did for you.
There should be more people like him in this world; imagine what a great place it would be.
Thank you for letting me have an oppurtunity for meeting your son.
Kamiak Highschool: Class of 2009
As we will graduate I will think of him and know he is walking with us, just in the clouds above.

Victoria-I never knew Shawn but I am a Mom and cannot imagine the pain of losing a child. Tho many years were taken up with caretaking and medical issues with Shawn I know that there were light moments too and much love. Hold on to those positive times.
