T. Larson Obituary

T. Louise Larson

Theresa Louise (Magnuson) Larson, born September 8, 1920, Ishpeming, MI, died March 8, 2007, in Renton, WA, and is now in the presence of her Savior, Christ Jesus.
She is survived by her daughter, Charlotte L. (Ronald) Trayer, Mountlake Terrace, WA; son, Paul E. (Jill) Larson, Renton, WA; grandchildren, Daniel B. Trayer, Lynnwood, WA; John A. Larson, of Arizona; and Edward A. Larson, Seattle; great-grandsons, Isaac D. Trayer, of Oklahoma, and Alex J. Trayer, of Lynnwood, WA; sister, Linnea (Francis) Bolm, of Arizona; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Pastor Leslie J. Larson on April 29, 2005; parents, Arthur and Theresa Magnuson; and brothers, Edward and Roy Magnuson.
Louise grew up in Escanaba and Marquette MI, and Chicago, IL. She graduated from Senn High School, Chicago, and worked first as a dental assistant and then at the phone company prior to her marriage to Leslie on March 3, 1945.
During the early years of their marriage, she was a full-time wife and mother, as well as organist and choir director at several of the churches they served. She could play the organ with her right hand, her feet playing the pedals, while directing the choir with her left hand! She also had a lovely soprano voice, and was soloist for many weddings, funerals, and worship services through the years.
In 1964, she returned to the work force to "help put the kids through college", and retired from Pacific Northwest Bell in Seattle in 1983.
She was the consummate hostess, entertaining friends and family from all over the world. She was also a wonderful cook and baker, Swedish rye bread and rice pudding being two of her specialties.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Everett; the Swedish Cultural Center, Seatttle; and Bell Telephone Pioneers.
The family extends grateful thanks to the staff at the Dron Family Home, who lovingly cared for Louise during her final years, and to the Visiting Nurse Association and Doctor Alan Bunin, who assisted with her medical needs.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Zion Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 2116, Everett, WA 98203, or Trinity Lutheran College, 4221-228th Ave. SE, Issaquah, WA 98029.
Viewing will be from noon to 8 p.m., Wednesday, March 14, 2007, at Solie Funeral Home, Everett with family receiving guests from 3-7 p.m. Burial will be at 11:30 a.m., on Thursday, March 15, at Floral Hills Cemetery, Lynnwood, WA with a memorial service following at 1:00 p.m., at Zion Lutheran Church, 47th and Alger, Everett.

It is with great joy that we celebrate the life of our Aunt Louise and her entrance into Heaven, joining our dear Uncle Les. We can picture them together, walking hand-in-hand along the Lord's pathways talking and laughing.

You are all with us in thought and prayer. May the love and gathering of family, and the comfort of knowing Aunt Louise and Uncle Les are both peacefully in their eternal home, bless all of you today and in the days to come.

Love ~ Lori, Bob, and family

To the Family and friends of Aunt Louise and her late husband, Uncle Les, I am reminded of their faith in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Our many family gatherings are tribute to their happy and loving life. Through their example in their faith in Jesus Christ we know they are with Jesus in Heaven, life everlasting. May each of us remember the blessings that have touched our lives and live our lives according to Jesus teaching as Aunt Louise and Uncle Les have done. In loving memory, John & Cathy Bolm
