Terry Brandt Obituary

Terry James Brandt died on August 14, 2015, in Midway, Texas. He was born on August 10, 1959, to Albert Neil and Janice Lorraine Brandt at Fort Huachuca, Arizona, when his father was serving in the US Army. Then the family returned to their home state of Washington. His father married Sandy in 1970 and Terry grew up the oldest of his two brothers and two sisters in Alderwood Manor. He loved to go on our family camping trips as well as fishing and hunting with his dad and brothers. From the time he was very young, Terry had amazing skills in working with wood and mechanics. He was constantly tearing things apart to see how they worked. He had no trouble repairing almost anything. Terry graduated from Inglemoor High School and married Dawn Morris. They had a son and daughter and later divorced. In the years to come Terry fell in love with Peggy Raspberry from Texas. Together they worked a job that kept them on the road for months at a time. Eventually they found employment near their home in the small town of Midway, Texas, and enjoyed life together off the road. Terry was always known for the sweet, gentle, kind soul that he was and will be truly missed. He is survived by Peggy Raspberry; his children, Jonathan and Karissa Brandt; grandchildren, Xander Brandt and Raegan Eulenstein; parents, Albert Neil and Sandra Brandt, Janice and John Fasano; brothers, Robert and Adam (Julie) Brandt; sisters, Karen and Becky Brandt; nephews, Matt, Andy and Austin Brandt and niece, Tonnette Brandt; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his nephew, Joseph Albert Brandt and his grandparents. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2015, at 1:00 at the Bayview Cemetery, Mt Vernon, Washington, with a reception to follow at the Bayview Civic Hall.

Terry was the oldest of the five of us. Oldest to the youngest, Terry, Rob, Karen,(myself) Becky, and Adam. Even though we all grew up in the same home with the constant love of Mom and Dad (Neil & Sandy). All 5 of us are very different from each other. Terry was my sweet, kind and gentle brother. He was the 1st to make me an aunt. Quickly nick naming me, Aunt "B". He taught me how to drive in the snow by teaching me to think of having a egg on the dash board while using the break. Now that I am older, I think when snowing stay home. As adults, especially since he lived in Texas he was very faithful calling Mom and Dad on birthdays, Mother & fathers day and all major holidays. He was very good at getting reassurance from me that Mom and Dad were doing very well. He loved and cared about his family dearly; but his home was in Texas.
We never know when our last day on earth together is. Or our last telephone conversation will be. Or the call will stating stating that one of your siblings has died. I know you knew I hated the disease but always loved you. I know you are at peace in heaven. I know you were welcomed with loving open arms. I know your arrival party was huge ( seems like Jesus has taken home a lot of family over the last few years). RIP big brother, love your little sister, Becky
