Theresa Cooke Obituary

Theresa M. Cooke

Theresa was fifth born to Joeseph and Mary Kowalski on June 23, 1924 in Baltimore, MD.
She left for heaven suddenly to join her husband on January 4, 2011.
As a child. she didn't have much money, but her family had a lot of love. Her mother was a seamstress and made all her clothes.
She was of strong Polish descent and has one surviving sister, Marge Black.
She was preceded by her parents, her youngest sister, Dolores; then her oldest sister, Francis; brother, Milton; and husband, Albert.
She worked as an elevator operator in a Seattle orthopedic hospital, as a housewife, and as a clown. For 37 years, she was "Cookie the Clown" of Lynnwood. She also was a member of a group of women named The Tea-Timers who did charity work and kept in touch all through the years. She did ceramics, junk art, and enjoyed doing puppet shows and magic. She just loved to make children happy. Wherever she was, she would put on a happy face and gave others joy. She also donated a lot of her time to St. Thomas More church.
She will be greatly missed by her three daughters, Jeanine, Rita and Teressa; her grandchildren, Aaron, Carissa, Elliot, Daryl, and Stephen; and her great- grandchildren, Dallas and Hayden.
She passed on her motto of "Live, Love, Learn and Laugh" to her children and their families.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on January 11, 2011 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Lynnwood, with Committal following at Holyrood Catholic Cemetery in Shoreline.

Jeanine, Rita & Teressa,
I really loved your mom. She was always a joy to see. It started back in the first grade for me in 1969, seeing Cookie the Clown. There are many fond memories seeing her at STM, getting slipped the coins. I'm sure the passing of your mother leaves a large void in the family. She will be missed.

I will never forget my field trip back in the early 70's to see Cookie the Clown while attending school at St. Thomas More. I thank Cookie for the memories. My prayers are with her family.
