Thomas Maddy Obituary
Thomas Owen Maddy
Tom had a passion for music that started at a young age. "The Maddy Brothers" with brothers, Bob and Jim, were a well known local group that played local venues for over 20 years. He loved to fish, hunt, camp and, always had a new project going at home and in his garden. He was a retired member of the Union Ironworkers Local 86.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents; and three siblings, Lester, Howard and Margaret.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly; her children; Jim, Crystal, Vernon, Carla and Annette; his daughter, Melanie Maddy–Sandberg; and sons, Darren and Dayton Maddy. Tom enjoyed numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well.
His family will be hosting a celebration of life on October 9 at the Arlington Heights Community Club at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Tom's name to Hospice and Homecare at Providence Hospital.

Tom and his brother and I worked many shifts together in the 70s. Tom always had a story to start the day with. He was such a positive force to be around. He will be missed. Al Lesmeister

Dayton,
loosing a dad is never easy, his talents, skills, work ethic and love of life live on in you. Your Dad has a great legacy especially if your brother and sisters are anything like you. You got my prayers and thoughts brother,

I first met Tom working on the Modules in Anacortes in the mid 70's. Then in 1979 working in Tacoma Tom, Bob and I rode together. It was always fun talking about music. On my last visit with Tom at his house, we went for a walk around his property. It was very clear to me how much time and work he had put into creating a park like setting. My condolences to Bev, and Melanie, Dayton, and Darren.

Thank you for being my Dad, for all the lessons learned even if they were lessons i didnt want to learn, thank you for your patience and understanding. Most of all thank you for all the love you have given me through my life and for picking me up When i fell you never gave up on me It was truely an honor to know you i love you so much! We are so sorry for your loss. Hold your memories close to your heart. I know that my husband will never forget the boating trips, either fishing or crabbing with Dayton and Tom. Thanks for the memories and catch a big one up there!

I hold all of the family close to my heart, my sincerest condolences go out to you! I will always remember the fun we had growing up, camping, reunions and good times at the cabins. Uncle Tom I will miss you!

...i remember going to watch the Maddy brother, and their great music...i loved the Manolin..and its lil pinkity pink tones, my favorite...i miss these good old days rest in Peace and play a few tunes for the angels..please..
