Whoever wrote the obituary, left me out. Tom was my dad and I was just getting to know him. He was kind and accepting. I never heard him speak negatively about anyone or anything. Seemed like he looked for the good in things, people. I have read that he was generous and loved unconditionally, I definitely agree with this. And my two daughters and I loved him very much. It hurts that we weren't able to get to know him like we wanted, but sometimes when God calls you home, we think too early, you have done all you needed to do on Earth. Looks like he touched many lives. What an amazing person he was.

Tom befriended my wife and I while I was serving in the Navy at naval station Everett. He had our family over for dinner and allowed us to fish off of his dock anytime we wanted which was a great reprieve from the city and work. What I remember the most is his generosity and gentle spirit.

I knew Tom in High School and talked to him on Facebook.
Sad to hear this.

I met Tom thru my brother Gary & it wasn't long before we were friends. We ran cross country and track and Tom was so much fun. He could really run! I graduated a couple years ahead of him and after his Army years we lost track of each other. About 20 years ago he stopped by my house and he was still the same old Tom. He was a good kid that became a very fine man.
