Vivian Harris, 84, an Edmonds, Washington resident, passed away unexpectedly at home, into the presence of the Lord on Sunday, April 16, 2023. She was born on August 24, 1938 in Colorado Springs, CO to Paul and Ava McDermott.
The McDermotts lived in several states and many different towns untill 1955 when they settled in Mount Vernon WA. Vivian graduated from Mount Vernon High School in 1956 where she was on the honor role.
Vivian was united in marriage to Loyd Harris in 1994 and they made their home in Edmonds. They both enjoyed gardening, volunteering, traveling, serving their church as well as spending time with their family and friends. Vivian was a devout member of St. James Lutheran Church in Bothell WA.
Banking was Vivian's main career, starting right out of high school at National Bank of Commerce in Mount Vernon. She had many positions at various banks in both Washington and Colorado. Vivian retired in 2000 from her last employment as office manager at Harsin Wealth Management located in Lynnwood WA.
Vivian is survived by her husband Loyd, son Kris Gustafson and his two children Nick and Sierra and Sierra's son Hunter all of Vancouver, WA; sister Paulette Talley of Sedro Woolley, WA, nephew Derek and his wife Elizabeth and their children Drew and Owen Talley of Big Lake, WA and nephew Devin Talley of Sedro Woolley, WA. She is also survived by three step-grandchildren and their children as well as numerous extended family members and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Ava McDermott, her brother in law Dennis Talley and Loyd's immediate family.
Memorial service will be held Saturday, April 29 2023, 11:00 am at St. James Lutheran Church, 19510 Bothell-Everett Hwy, Bothell WA 98012
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to St. James Lutheran Church, P O Box 12806, Millcreek, WA 98082.
