Dear Marlene,
I co-led Gasworks Thursday when Wendell first started with us. He was one of sweetest, funniest and most humble men I've known, but he also liked to win little personal challenges, like beating the young guys on the last climb of the day. He also cherished his role as father and played it so naturally even for those he only recently met. I'll have a soft spot in my heart for him forever. I'm so sorry you (and we) have lost him. What a tragedy. He did two lives worth of good while he was here.
Fondly,
Maralyn Ricketts

Dear Marlene and Family
I am really shocked to hear of Wendell's
passing. I biked with Wendell for many years with B.I.K.E.S in the rain, cold winter days and on those uncommon nice days. ha ha. Really enjoyed his company and stories.
All my best.
