Brian J. Bouchard Sr.

Brian J. Bouchard, Sr., 65, of East Freetown, husband of the late Joanne (Arruda) Bouchard and long-time companion, Pauline Ashley, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at Rhode Island Hospital. Born in Fall River, he was a son of the late Joseph and Lillian G. (Wills) Bouchard. Prior to his retirement he was a driver for Horizon Beverage for many years. A very hard-working man, he also loved the beach, relaxing with a cold Heineken, and traveling to such places Aruba, California, New York, Amsterdam, and Portugal. A bit of a "history buff", Brian also enjoyed visiting art museums and wintering in Florida. Besides his companion, he leaves his loving son, Brian J. Bouchard, Jr. and his fiancee, Jaime Leite, of East Freetown; granddaughter, Kiley Leite; brother, Bruce Bouchard and his wife, Paula, of Fall River; father-in-law, John "Bobby" Arruda; sister-in-law, Nancy Arruda-Nary; and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Elizabeth Franco and Kathleen Krueger. His funeral will be held on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 from the Silva-Faria Funeral Home, 730 Bedford St., Fall River, at 9 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated in Holy Name Church, 709 Hanover St., at 10 a.m. His will be laid to rest with his late wife in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Fall River. Brian's visitation will take place on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 in the Silva-Faria Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. The family would appreciate and would like to thank everyone in advance for mask wearing and social distancing while in the funeral home, within the church, and at the cemetery.
