Donald Nadeau Obituary

Donald E. Nadeau, 80 of Westport and Jupiter, FL, husband of Pauline (Charette) Nadeau, son of the late Wilfred E. and Marie Claire (Vanasse) Nadeau and brother of the late Robert R. Nadeau. passed away Sunday, July 29, 2018. He operated, with his late father, late brother, and sons, the family rigging, trucking and crane service business, Joseph Nadeau's Sons, Inc., Fall River. He was a member of Msgr. Prevost High School, Class of 1956, the Knights of Columbus and the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 4, Boston and a Founding Mem ber of Our Lady of Grace Parish Youth Hockey, now SWS Youth Hockey. He was a lover of history and a voracious reader. He enjoyed traveling, skiing, sailing, sunny days at the beach and working in the garden. He especially enjoyed his winters in Jupiter, Florida and large family gatherings. Besides his wife of 58 years, he leaves four children, Brian Nadeau and his companion Berta Graves of Westport, Christine Iskandar and her husband Sany of Sudbury, MA, Susan Ruscak and her husband Stephen of Littleton, MA and Marc Nadeau and his companion Patricia Maccini of Mattapoisett, MA; grandchildren: Jessica Houseman (husband Bryan), Holly Holm (husband James), Joseph Nadeau (companion Brittany Hammer), Joseph Iskandar (fiance Amanda Hamel), Danielle and Michelle Iskandar, Michael and June Ruscak and Nicholas, Abigail, Christian, Andrew and David Nadeau; great-grandchildren; Grayson and Aveline Marie Houseman and Sebastian Holm; his sisters-in-law, Carol Nadeau of Westport, Claire Perry (husband Raymond) of Fall River, Shirley Goyette (husband Gerard) of Somerset and Patricia Charette (late husband Wilfred J. Charette, Jr.) of Fall River and many nieces and nephews. His funeral will be held Friday at 8:45 AM from the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral Mass at Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport, at 10:00 AM. Interment, St. Patrick Cemetery. Visitation, Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Brothers of Christian Instruction, PO Box 159, Alfred ME 04002 or American Heart Assn., 300 Fifth Ave., Waltham MA 02451. My condolences to Marc ,Brian and the family. Your Dad was a gentleman in a rough business and I learned from him and Bobby early on in my career and continued to learn.I have many memories of critcal jobs we did together that always were successful.I shall always remember him and Bobby as mentors.I share your loss.
