Lida R. Guay

Lida R. Guay, 88, formerly of Seekonk, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 30, 2017. She was the wife of the late Leo Guay. Lida was born in Fall River and was a daughter of the late Nicholas and Lyda (Michaud) Biello. Lida worked as a loom operator at the Fall River Knitting Mills for many years and later as a cook for the Seekonk School Department. She enjoyed cooking and baking, spending time on the water with her husband Leo, and hosting family and friends at their home during the holidays. She is survived by her son, Brian L. Guay of Seekonk; daughter, Diane M. Macedo and her husband Thomas of Georgetown, SC; two grandchildren, Jessica and Sarah, and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Nicholas and Roger Biello and Peggy Swanson. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at 9am from the Hathaway Community Home for Funerals, 900 Buffinton St., Somerset followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Louis de France Church, 56 Buffington St., Swansea. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Stafford Rd., Fall River.
