Raymond Boutin Obituary

Raymond J. Boutin age 75, of Somerset, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, April 6, 2020. He was the beloved husband of Janice A. (Chadwick) Boutin whom he was married to for 52 years. Born at home in Swansea, he was a son of the late Telesphor Boutin and Aldea (Prince) Boutin. He was a caring, generous husband, father and also grandfather. Ray retired from the former Al & Pauls Auto Sales in Fall River after 42 years of faithful service. He was very active in Somerset Minor League Baseball as a coach during the time his sons were involved. Raymond was a volunteer firefighter for the Somerset Volunteer Co., Station #2, until its closing. He was also an EMT with the Swansea Ambulance Corp., and held a place on their Board of Directors at the time of his passing. Besides his devoted wife, Raymond is survived by his sons; Dennis Boutin and his wife Tammy of Fall River and Brian Boutin-Gammon and his wife Anne of Dighton, three grandchildren; Benjamin Boutin, Bevin and Izaiah Boutin-Gammon, also one brother; Roger Boutin and his wife Pauline of Fort Myers, FL, one brother-in-law Harold Barton and his wife Dale of Cape Coral, FL, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his sister, Joan Barton. Due to current restriction on public gatherings, a celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Donations in Raymonds honor may be made to his wife, Janice. His funeral arrangements are in the care of Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, Swansea. For online tributes: www.waring-sullivan.com

I worked 15 yrs as an EMT with many of those first years as a trainee of Ray's. I have always considered Ray a good friend and mentor my condolences to Janise ,Dennis and Brian and their families RIP Ray you did a lot of good we are all proud of you. GOD BLESS
