Barry Player Obituary
A graveside service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Forest Hills Cemetery with Rev. Rick Martin officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
Born in Rock Hill, Mr. Player was the son of Shirley Glenn Byrum of York and the late Harold Gene Player. He was also preceded in death by his stepsister, Monica Livieratos. He worked with his father at Ace Body Shop which he loved because he enjoyed cars and street rods. He enjoyed NASCAR, Redskins football and shooting pool. He was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sister, Renee Franklin of Greenville, SC; and his stepmother, Brenda Player of Rock Hill.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mr. Player's name to the local animal rescue of one's choice.
Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel is assisting the Player family and condolences may be made at www.greenefuneralhome.net.

I will miss you my sweet, funny and kind hearted cousin. Even though you lived in pain and had your own disabilities you always tried to lift people up during their medical problems or when their spirits were low. You were truly a caring sweet soul. Please know Prayers go out for the Family and Friends (some of whom have already signed this book and know I care for!!!). I knew Barry from school and The shop (Dad too). He was always the same nomatter when or where you saw him, when he was your friend it was forever!!! He will be missed in this world...but Praises to CHRIST...Seen again when we all go to meet him in Heaven.
