Bill Belk Obituary
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, January 28, at Rawlinson Road Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 10:30 AM to 11:45 AM at the church.
Bill was born on November 12, 1937, in Charlotte, N.C. to the late H. C. and Pauline Goodman Belk. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Edna Ann N. Belk; his daughters, Kimberly Ann Belk Sebastian and Sharon Elizabeth Belk Collins (Johnny); his son, William Scott Belk (Debra) and seven grandchildren.
Bill attended school in Rock Hill and graduated from Rock Hill High School. Subsequently, he attended and graduated from Wofford University, where he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha. After graduation, Bill's first business was as co-owner with his father of the Rock Hill Appliance Parts Center. Later, he owned Belk Advertising Agency until he began his career with A.L Williams & Associates, which later became Primerica Financial Services. He progressed to the position of Regional Vice President, a position he held until his passing in November of 2016.
His love for the Lord was the element that upheld Bill's life, and he was actively involved in several local Baptist churches, most recently Rawlinson Road Baptist Church. Over the years, he served as a Sunday School teacher, deacon, and a member of the choir.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mr. Belk's name to Rawlinson Road Baptist Church, 1024 Rawlinson Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732.

Prayers for the family. My friendship with the Belk Family spans over 50 years. Love each of you. It is hard to let our loved ones go, but you have so many precious memories of Bill. Tell these stories over and over. It does help to keep us close to our precious loves.

Edna Ann and family... Bill was a true man of God. He has had his graduation day, and what a Reunion we will have with him one day. Our prayers have and will be with you all.God has His arms around you. What a wonderful tribute he left behind. We love you very much, Mike and Jane

Mr. Belk was a great man, loving father and husband. I love this family. Throughout my college years, I spent many days and evenings at the Belk home and they were like a second family to me. Mr. Belk loved his kids and his wife and most importantly, he loved his Lord.
